Straight out of Columbus, Ohio, Midwest Crunch is a four-piece fusion rock band serving up sun-drenched grooves with serious edge. Blending the grit of classic rock, the pulse of reggae, and the swagger of funk, they’ve built a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Their music hits on love, unity, and living in the moment—pulling you in, shaking off the stress, and locking you into the vibe. Whether it’s a packed venue, a festival stage, or a backyard blowout, Midwest Crunch brings the kind of energy that keeps heads nodding and crowds moving.
Todd Ellwood is the band’s elder statesman, bringing over 50 years of stage-tested experience to Midwest Crunch. His sound traces the full arc of rock—from the raw power of the ’70s to today’s modern edge—anchored in classic rock but shaped by the progressive influence of Yes and Rush. With deep roots in funk and blues, Todd’s versatile, steady rhythm guitar lays the foundation for the Midwest Crunch sound—tight, timeless, and built to groove.
Mark Bergfeld has been laying down explosive rhythms since age 10, crafting a signature style that fuses groove, power, and razor-sharp precision. Hailing from Worthington, Ohio, his drumming channels the raw energy and funk-driven pulse of 311, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Rage Against the Machine. The result? Hard-hitting, high-impact beats that stay locked in the pocket while driving every track forward with undeniable intensity.
Jon Ellwood holds down the low end with authority, blending funk-driven slap, hard-hitting attack, and melodic grooves that cut through the mix. His playing is equal parts rhythm and lead—punchy, dynamic, and impossible to ignore. Whether he’s locking in deep with the drums or stepping out with fluid, driving lines, Jon brings the kind of energy that gives Midwest Crunch its backbone and its bounce.
Andy Prehm is a guitarist focused on creating immersive, celestial tones that drift and expand. His style moves between deep, meditative grooves and soaring, interstellar leads, shaped by effects, dynamics, and instinct. Andy’s approach is rooted in psychedelia but aimed outward—always pushing toward the unknown.
